Optimized for video streaming

Minimizing latency in HTTP-based live video streaming is vital as it enables broadcasters to engage with their audience in real-time, whether it's for live sports events, news coverage, or interactive live streaming applications.

Within this field, two technologies stand out: Low-Latency HLS (LL-HLS) and Low-Latency DASH (LL-DASH), with the latter occasionally referred to as Low-Latency CMAF (LL-CMAF). Numerous established streaming players, encoding tools, and packaging solutions currently support both LL-HLS and LL-DASH/LL-CMAF. Prominent examples of these tools include Apple's AVplayer, Shaka player, HLS.js, DASH.js, FFmpeg, and more.

Scalability

Tebi enables ultra-low latency workflows for over-the-top (OTT) video distribution, leveraging chunked Common Media Application Format (CMAF) or transport streams encoded for Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) or HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) delivery.

Instead of waiting for complete video segments to be written before delivery, the video segments are divided into smaller chunks. This allows video players to begin playback while the encoder is still in the process of writing the end of the segment. Your viewers can access and enjoy the video content without delay, enhancing their viewing experience.
