Tebi | Sign Up
Once you have an account, you can create a bucket to store your data. A bucket is like a folder that can hold any number of files, and you can create as many buckets as you need.
To access your bucket, you will need an access key. You can generate an access key in the "Access keys" section of your account dashboard. This key is like a username and password combined, and it allows you to authenticate with our system and access your bucket.
Once you have your access key, you can start uploading files to your bucket using supports3, FTP,FTPS. You can use our web interface, or you can use one of the many third-party tools or software that are compatible with our storage.
What are the terms of the Free Trial?
Our Free Trial period lasts for 14 days and includes generous allowances of 2TB of storage and 8TB of outgoing traffic. Take advantage of this opportunity to explore and experience our services.
Is credit card mandatory?
During the free trial, you don't have to enter your credit card information. After the trial ends, you can add your card information to continue using our service with Tebi Free Tier + Pay As You Go plan. Do you have a CDN to serve the media files stored on a bucket?
Tebi system is geo-distributed, which means that your data is permanently stored in multiple regions, providing faster access to your files. Unlike a CDN, our system does not temporarily cache data. You can choose where to store your data, and we will serve it from the closest location to your users. Similarly, uploads are automatically directed to the nearest datacenter.
How do I connect to Tebi with an FTP gateway?
Tebi seamlessly supports both FTP and FTPS protocols, allowing you to integrate with any FTP client software of your choice, such as FileZilla or Cyberduck. Simply configure your preferred FTP software with the necessary credentials, and you're good to go. For detailed instructions refer to our guides.
Why can't I connect via FTP?
To troubleshoot this issue, please double-check if you are using the correct host, which should be ftp.tebi.io. Additionally, make sure that you have allowed the use of FTP for the specific key you are using by checking the "FTP" checkbox in the key settings page here: https://client.tebi.io/keys/. If you are still unable to connect, please get in touch with our support team, and we will be happy to assist you.
What does the amount of data copies refer to? Can I choose only one?
The principle of ensuring data protection revolves around storing multiple copies of your data. While the minimum requirement is two copies, it is generally recommended to store three or more copies to enhance data reliability. You have the flexibility to configure the desired number of copies in the Storage Classes settings.
What is Storage Class at Tebi?
The Storage Class at Tebi refers to where you want your data to be stored and how many copies to keep in each location. And it is completely customizable. Our storage is globally distributed, so we automatically distribute your data around the world, and users can access your files from the closest location, resulting in faster speeds. This is a unique and convenient approach compared to centralized storage.
How can I set up a custom domain for Tebi storage?
To establish a custom domain for your Tebi storage, you need to create a bucket with the exact same name as your domain and point your domain's DNS settings to s3.tebi.io using a CNAME record. For more detailed information on setting up virtual hosting, please refer to our guide.
Does Tebi have the same concept of public and private buckets as AWS?
If a bucket is Private in AWS then nobody can access it without a key even if a file is public. Tebi does not have the concept of public or private buckets. We have a default ACL option that can be redefined and applied to files on a per-file basis. While our buckets are always public, you can control the access of individual files within the bucket by setting the appropriate ACL on each file.
What is the region of my bucket?
Our object storage is global, and all buckets are global. The actual data location is determined by the Storage Class, which you can set at the time of upload. You can use different Storage Classes for different objects in the same bucket.
I can view and update my buckets, but can't delete them. Why?
You can delete only empty buckets. This means you need to delete all the files and objects within the bucket before you can delete the bucket itself.
Can I rename my bucket?
You can not rename the bucket but you can create a new one and move your files there.
Can I make a bucket policy to allow access from an IP without Access Keys?
Yes, you can create a policy like that. You can find example here: https://docs.tebi.io/intro/bucket_policy.html
